"Justin, you aren't getting the readership you desire, because your posts are dry, boring, and too academic." -- Name withheld.
I've been asked to interject some personality into my weblog posting, articles, and on-line messages. Now I'm going to work on this because the advice came from someone who knows what the hell they are doing ... however, How do I write so my personality comes through?
First off, I can't stand the chatty bantering of many business "blogs" these days. So I'll focus on being human, but keep the message about you. After all, it's you who I want to see with the results you deserve in your sales and marketing.
Second, I'll be releasing some of the audio programs I've shared with clients, that I haven't yet made available to my members. These programs include interviews, targeted rants, and informational presentations about creating bottom line profits for your business-to-business organization.
At least this comment wasn't all that bad. In my private discussion areas for Applying Strategic Relations members, and Selling & Marketing to Executives members, I do keep things one-to-one personal. Do you think adding some "personality" will make what I share here more interesting?

Yes, this acknowledges that I have mentors and others that I seek out for advice. Shouldn't you? The day I think I know everything I need to about creating and keeping profitable customers, is the day I'm dead. As things change, as my own objectives change, I look for insights from others who have done more than me -- test those ideas, and then share what works in the business-to-business world with you. It would be a disservice to my clients if I didn't stay ahead of what's happening. Are you seeking out experts to improve what you do?
