Content of Value Costs Someone Something

Justin Hitt here, with an important note about the direction of content in the JWH Consolidated Network. In light of the Wall Street Journal and other major content sites turning from paid resources to advertiser sponsored, the JWH Consolidated Network will continue to provide quality PAID CONTENT.

Who is paying for what? Quality non-bias content of value costs something. It costs me money to produce, edit, and compile; it costs money to organize and host. Advertiser sponsored content costs your time to comb though for nuggets appropriate to your business and I feel, costs you in quality of content.

Unfortunately many organizations feel if they can water it down just enough to increase page count, this would drive search engine ranking, and in turn impressions for advertisers. This is advertising sponsored content and there are a lot of advertisers out their willing to pay out for branded impressions.

As a side note, I own a business-to-business advertising network and do a lot of advertising, I know what click through rates are and online advertisers that don't know our methods are getting screwed. If they want to pay for impressions, that's find, I'll take their money on the HPD Advertising Network (if their products match your desires and they are quality providers.)

When advertisers pay, content is adjusted to THEIR needs and desires. When you pay for content, then content to tailored to YOUR needs and desires. Believe me, I'd rather NOT write new content everyday, but it's an effective way to serve my clients needs without flying around the country.

So where is this all going? While I'll add a little more public content, which is good for search engine rankings and driving the house and paid advertisements presented there, I'll continue to enforce a sparse navigational approach to advertising. In addition, no matter how much people complain (funny, paying clients don't) I'll stand firm on our paid membership model.

You have my promise that content in the membership areas will ALWAYS focus on your needs and desires. While you'll find some advertorial content in our network, I won't tailor any of our sites to the needs of advertisers. Frankly, I don't need their money.

Members will continue to receive those offline publications and resources that you can only get from GOLD or SILVER membership. These tools are value you can't get from an advertising sponsored site and even many paid membership sites.

As I teach, a hybrid revenue module with many streams of income is necessary for every healthy business. And, I feel it's in your best interest over time to maintain the quality content in the membership areas. If you have questions, write me anytime.
